Campus core without power in third outage this March

The outage’s cause or time of resolution are currently unclear

10:50 a.m. UTD announced the power outage town hall is postponed indefinitely.


10:43 a.m. Power was restored to campus core. WiFi issues continue.


10:42 a.m. UTD cancelled classes until 1 p.m.


10:07 a.m. UTDAlert instructed all researchers in labs without power to evacuate. 


9:52 a.m. UTD’s campus core, including all academic buildings and the Student Union, are without power. 

UTD was scheduled to have a virtual town hall about this month’s power outage at noon today. As of publication, it is uncertain whether the town hall will be possible without power. 

This is a breaking news story. The Retrograde will provide more details as new information emerges.
