On Aug. 31, U.S. House Representative Thomas Massie named UTD alum Lesley Groff on the U.S. House floor for her affiliation with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and called for the official investigation of Groff and 13 other Epstein affiliates named in the partially released Epstein files.
“We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted men like [Massie proceeds to name 13 prominent men in the files including Lex Wexner and Prince Andrew] and women like Leslie Groff — not a victim,” Massie said. “[Groff] conspired with Epstein to traffic other women. Perhaps hearing these names will shame the Department of Justice into delivering justice.”
Massie said he was concerned that the Department of Justice had failed to properly investigate or prosecute. Groff, who previously worked as Epstein’s long-time executive personal assistant, had assisted Epstein in managing his various homes, booking his travel and supervising what she described as a “private island in the Caribeean.” The island in question was Little Saint James: Epstein’s underage sex trafficking hub.
Aug. 31 marked the first night back for the U.S. House of Representatives after its August recess. Massie — who alongside U.S. House Representative Ro Khanna worked to successfully pass the first Epstein Files Transparency Act last year — is now working to pass a second Epstein FIles Transparency Act after repeated failures from the U.S. Department of Justice to comply with the text of the law, questionable redactions and a lack of prosecution against those exposed in the files.
“It’s been a year since the president signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and the government continues to withhold over three million files,” Massie said. “That’s why we have introduced the Epstein Files Transparency Act 2 … ”
Last spring The Retrograde covered UTD’s presence in the Epstein files, which included a $3,000 check to convicted sex trafficker and Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and plans to make Epstein child-like sex robots known as “gyroids.”
