Today at 4:46 p.m., UTD Dining announced via Instagram that three restaurants would be closed for the rest of Thursday and all of Friday.
Halal Shack, TeaCo and Firehouse Subs have closed early today and will remain closed Friday while Chick-fil-A will offer extended hours tonight until 8 p.m. to accommodate students’ hunger. The restaurant usually closes at 6 p.m. on Thursdays.
“I work right next to there so I usually go on Fridays,” Brayden Wiese, political science junior. “Without that, it makes both my class schedule and work schedule more difficult.”
The UTD Dining website has not yet been updated to reflect the changing schedule at time of publication.
UTD Dining Services did not immediately respond to The Retrograde’s request to comment.
